Features: First, this is a comprehensive textbook introducing the clinic-based legal education course. Clinic-based legal education is student-centered, teaching-oriented, and uses legal aid as a means. It employs methods such as case discussions, role-playing, individual guidance, and learning by doing to train students in various aspects, such as client interviews, consultations, fact-finding, negotiation, mediation, legal writing, and litigation skills, ultimately enhancing their ability to think critically. This is the fundamental characteristic that distinguishes clinic-based legal education from other courses. Second, this is also a monograph on teaching methods in legal education. Under the guidance of the most prominent educational theories worldwide, this book explores several methods of legal education. Among them, role-playing teaching is an embodiment of "experiential" or "situated" teaching theory in clinic-based legal education; individual guidance teaching reflects the "student-centered" education model in clinic-based legal education; and collaborative, feedback, and evaluation teaching embodies the "construction and interaction" theory of constructivist education theory in clinic-based legal education. Reading-based teaching, on the other hand, reflects the modern trend of legal education toward cultivating interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary talents. These teaching experiences derived from the clinic-based legal education course, although still difficult to fully demonstrate the rich educational theories they strive to follow, will undoubtedly provide a new perspective for the reform of legal education in our country.
