For this, we are deeply grateful to the project coordinators and staff, Bogdan Vandoninck, Lieve Van Daele, AZiz Naji, Margarida Freire, and Vrielinck. The scholars participating in this research project primarily came from two academic institutions: the Department of Political Science at the Free University of Brussels (Bruno Coppieters, Michel Heis, and Tamara Kuznetzov) and the European Policy Research Centre based in Brussels (Michael Emerson, Gagana Nuchecheva, Natalie Toussaint, and Marius Valin). The English edition of this book is published by Gant Academic Press, and the English electronic edition is published by the Journal of European Ethnicity and Minority Affairs. Additionally, the book is also published in Dutch, Russian, and Chinese. The three-year project jointly conducted by Renmin University of China, Durham University in the UK, and the Free University of Brussels, titled "Asian Studies in Europe and China," significantly contributed to the publication of the Chinese edition of this book. This project was funded by the European Union's "AsiaLink" program. The aim of the project is to deepen contemporary Asian studies in Europe and China.
