It is a curriculum textbook for the 21st century, as well as a core textbook for law majors in colleges and universities across the country and a national-level planning textbook for the "15th Five-Year Plan" in general higher education. The book consists of three parts and 23 chapters. Based on a thorough summary and absorption of research achievements in Chinese constitutional law over the past two decades, it has significantly enriched and updated the teaching content of constitutional law and notably adjusted and improved the curriculum system. Its publication marks the initial completion of the renewal of constitutional law textbooks at the turn of the century. The book pioneers a teaching system in constitutional law centered on fundamental constitutional theory - fundamental constitutional systems - constitutional implementation. Part I "Fundamental Constitutional Theory" not only elaborates in detail on the concept, history, and basic principles of the constitution but also adds seven chapters to discuss the formulation of the constitution, constitutional forms and structure, constitutional norms, constitutional relationships, the value and role of the constitution, constitutional concepts and constitutional culture, and the constitution and constitutionalism, thereby perfecting the fundamental constitutional theory. Part II "Fundamental Constitutional Systems" not only specifically explains the basic content of state nature, state form, the fundamental rights and obligations of citizens, the electoral system, state organs, and the party system but also conducts theoretical exploration on issues such as the relationship between the form of state governance and the form of state organization, and the relationship between the party system and democratic constitutionalism. The book's strong emphasis on the theory of constitutional implementation is a prominent feature. Part III "Constitutional Implementation" comprehensively and systematically discusses the concept, characteristics, principles, conditions, process, evaluation and safeguards, constitutional interpretation, constitutional amendment, constitutional review systems, and constitutional order in five chapters, thereby clarifying the basic framework of constitutional implementation theory. This book can serve as a textbook for law majors in colleges and universities and is also suitable for use by other majors and general readers.
