Features: This book is a collection of important historical research papers from the School of History and Culture at Sichuan University over the years. The book consists of seven volumes, each featuring representative works of researchers and teachers from the school in seven historical fields. These seven fields are: Ancient Chinese History, Modern and Contemporary Chinese History, World History, Archaeology, Historical Philology, Special History, and Historical Geography. This collection serves two purposes: on one hand, it showcases the relentless efforts of scholars from the older generation to the current middle-aged and young scholars; on the other hand, we will never be complacent about these achievements. While continuously striving for academic progress, we also look back to the past, comparing the present with the past and using the past as a benchmark for the present. In other words, we learn from the spirit of our predecessors and motivate the practice of the present. We arrange the articles in this collection by theme rather than chronological order to better understand the connections between past and present, which helps in recognizing the development and promising future of the field of world history.
