Features: In the years following Wang Xiaobo's passing, the value of his texts has not faded with his absence but has instead grown more apparent over time. The literature and beauty he created shine like a bright light, piercing through the barriers of time to inspire the hearts of young people. "In the late Tang Dynasty, Xue Song served as a military governor in Western Hunan. On his way to his post, he brought his iron spear with him." And so the story begins. The Longest Novel (Wanshou Temple) is Wang Xiaobo's longest novel, in which he portrays a man who has lost his memory. He is the narrator of the story, and through the words of this "amnesiac," Wang Xiaobo constructs a world of absurd fantasy. For those who take pleasure in thinking, Wang Xiaobo is undoubtedly one of their most beloved writers. To commemorate the tenth anniversary of this immortal writer's passing, the first edition of The Complete Works of Wang Xiaobo was published in ten volumes. This set includes many of Wang Xiaobo's important writings during his lifetime, with a significant portion being newly compiled and presented for the first time. The entire set is divided into essays, long novels, short novels, short stories, a collection of letters, and unfinished works, totaling approximately 2 million words. This book is Volume Three of the complete works.
