1. This book is a collection of research papers on the works of the renowned Hong Kong writer Tao Ran, selecting texts published in domestic and overseas newspapers and some works between 1979 and 1999. Some titles have been slightly modified. Except for those marked as "Excerpt," the original form is preserved without any deletions.
2. The collection is divided into three sections:
- Section 1, Research on Novels (including short stories);
- Section 2, Research on Essays (including prose poems) (the above two sections are generally arranged in the order of their separate book publications, followed by a comprehensive discussion of the genre's creation);
- Section 3, Comprehensive Discussion on Creation (including impressionistic notes);
Followed by an appendix: Chronology of Creation and Activities, Index of Review Materials.
3. Each selected paper is annotated with the original publication source and date; the papers are arranged in chronological order of their publication.
4. After each selected paper, there is a brief introduction of the author. If the same author has multiple selected papers, the introduction is not repeated.
