Features: We set the following principles for selecting example sentences:
1. Typicality. They should clearly and accurately demonstrate the meaning, function, and characteristics of the words.
2. Readability. Through the specific content of the sentences, they provide some knowledge, literary, and appreciative elements, allowing readers to learn the language while also experiencing the rich humanistic and natural knowledge it conveys.
3. Aesthetic beauty of language. Appreciate the vividness, elegance, and expressiveness of the language.
These three principles represent a gradual deepening process. The basic requirement of typicality is challenging to achieve for every word. The requirement for readability is even higher, as it reminds us to constantly keep in mind and not slacken when dealing with the vast and dynamic linguistic material, repeatedly comparing and selecting. This book includes nearly 4,000 words. Some have already been explained very accurately by predecessors, and we have inherited their interpretations; some have gaps, which we have corrected; some have developed richer meanings, which we have recorded. Descriptions.
