Features: "The Barber" is one of the best novels I have sought after in recent years. Fan Yiping is very skilled at writing about the characteristics of people. "The Barber" expresses the ideal state of women in the hearts of all men, and it could be adapted into a very extraordinary film. "The Barber" is very satisfying to watch. The story of "The Barber" is filled with legendary elements. The protagonist, Lu Ping, is a barber with extraordinary skills. Through the ups and downs of history, he rises from an ordinary person to a general and then back to a barber. Fortunately, there is a woman who has always deeply loved him, whether he was a barber or a general. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, the barber Lu Ping killed a Japanese soldier out of love and fled from Shanghai to the small town where his master lived. The master's daughter, Song Yingyi, fell in love with him, but at that time, the Japanese army had invaded the town. To ensure his daughter's happiness, Song's father married her to the Nationalist General Ye Jiangchuan, and from then on, they looked at each other longingly. However, in the chaos of war, fate played tricks on Lu Ping. Years later, Lu Ping was granted amnesty and returned to his hometown, renaming the old barber shop "Worker and Peasant Barber Shop" and continuing his old trade. In the setting sun of the small town, the figures of Lu Ping and Song Yingyi appeared once again, relying on each other. This barber never quite escaped the entanglement of love. They reunited under the sun of the new China.
