Features: Wu Wei, styled Ziqian, styled Wubwei, born in 1962, native of Xianyang, Shaanxi. He studied at the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, the China Academy of Fine Arts, and the Graduate School of the China Academy of Art's National Fourth Master Class. Currently, he serves as the Executive Vice President of the School of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art at Beijing Humanities University, Vice President of Beijing Jinghua Painting and Calligraphy Institute, Senior Advisor to the Li Keran Art Research Society of Peking University, Special Appointed Painter of Macau Caimo Research Institute, Member of the China International Fine Arts Research Association under the Ministry of Culture, and Member of the Shaanxi Fine Arts Association. His works were exhibited on a tour in cities such as Xi'an, Xianyang, Shanghai, and Hefei in 1993, and at the Hangzhou Century Art Museum in 2000. His work "Layered Cliffs Surrounded by Green Waters" won the Innovation Award at the National Fourth Contemporary Landscape Painting Exhibition organized by the China Literature and Art Federation and was included in the "National Fourth Contemporary Landscape Painting Works Collection." "Echoes of Ink and Light" was selected for the China-Korea Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition and exhibited in South Korea. "Waterfall Through Rock" won the Second Prize at the China Western National Painting Exhibition organized by the China Artists Association. "Spirit and Bone" participated in the Painting Exhibition Commemorating the Centennial of Chen Yi Marshal's Birth organized by the China Artists Association and was exhibited in Hong Kong and other regions. "The Great Elephant, Formless" was exhibited at the Yan Huang Art Museum in Beijing in 2005 by the Graduate School of the China Academy of Art. He has organized and hosted national-level painting and calligraphy competitions multiple times. His monumental work "Xibaipo," commissioned by the Military Commission, received praise from leaders and professionals. His works have been published in journals such as "Art Observation," "Chinese Painting Research," and "Art State." Many of his works have been collected by the China Academy of Art and numerous domestic and international art institutions and individuals. He has published art albums and collections.
