Features: The newly edited "University Russian Basic Course" (Volumes 1-4), edited by Professor Ying Yuntian, was completed in 1999. The recordings for Volumes 1 and 2 were produced by Vasili Larichev and Nenia Gikhonova, while the recordings for Volumes 3 and 4 were created by Telikov and others, and have also been officially published. During the revision, the following points were particularly emphasized: the selection and arrangement of teaching content, the content and types of exercises, with more precise and practical unified planning and design; the difficulty level of the texts was adjusted to better fit teaching practice, with appropriate proportions of linguistic styles and types, and non-linguistic content updated to suit new situations; grammar content remains divided into intensive and scattered teaching categories; the number and meanings of vocabulary strictly comply with the syllabus vocabulary list; exercises help consolidate and master newly learned material while continuously reviewing previously learned content, laying a solid foundation and enabling students to improve their writing and speaking skills more quickly.
