Features: To quickly adapt to the requirements of the information age, optimize traditional teaching content using information technology, and strengthen the cultivation of applied mathematical abilities, we have compiled this new textbook, "Practical Linear Algebra," based on years of experience in teaching linear algebra. The book consists of six chapters, and most of the content in the first five chapters is also applicable to the relevant programs of higher vocational and technical colleges.
"Practical Linear Algebra" is one of the achievements of the Tianjin Municipal Higher Education Teaching Reform Project "Research and Practice of Integration of Information Technology and Economic Mathematics Courses" in the early 21st century.
During the writing process, we strive for clear concepts, simple methods, practical and computer-based approaches, and explain abstract concepts with concrete examples as much as possible. A new section on "Computer-Assisted Computation" using modern information technology has been added to each chapter, enabling readers to solve more complex computational problems with the help of the Mathematica software and to personally experience the joy of learning and applying mathematics. In the appendix, we provide some comprehensive examples to help readers improve their ability to analyze and solve practical problems.
The text part of this book was compiled by: Zheng Changming (Chapter 1, the first four sections of Chapter 2, and the appendix), Cheng Wei (the last three sections of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3), Wei Jialin (Chapter 4, Chapter 5, and Chapter 6).
The CD part of this book was compiled by: Wang Liqin (course objectives, mathematician introductions, electronic teaching plan for Chapter 2, introduction to Math4.0 courseware, self-assessment questions, and cases), Li Naihua (electronic teaching plan for Chapter 1 and cases), Cheng Wei (electronic teaching plan for Chapter 3 and Chapter 4), Zhao Fenxia (electronic teaching plan for Chapter 5, Chapter 6, and detailed solutions to postgraduate entrance examination questions), Li Tian (detailed solutions to exercises), and Li Taochun participated in some of the text input work.
During the writing process of this book, we received assistance from leaders and teachers of Tianjin Business College. We are grateful to them here. Due to our limited ability, if there are any shortcomings, we sincerely welcome criticism and correction from readers.
