Features: This edition of Higher Mathematics, Volume 1 and Volume 2, is a textbook used in the undergraduate higher mathematics course for higher industrial colleges. The book was organized and written by the Higher Mathematics Teaching and Research Group of Tianjin University, based on previous editions of Higher Mathematics published by Tianjin University Press. During the writing process, the authors referred to the basic requirements for teaching higher mathematics in higher industrial schools, combined with actual teaching practices, and fully considered the content requirements for the mathematics entrance examination for postgraduate candidates (Mathematics I). Volume 1 includes 7 chapters: Functions, Limits, Derivatives and Differentiation, The Middle Value Theorem and Applications of Derivatives, Indefinite Integrals, Definite Integrals, and Space Analytic Geometry and Vector Algebra. Volume 2 includes 5 chapters: Multivariable Calculus, Multiple Integrals, Line Integrals and Surface Integrals, Series, and Differential Equations. Each chapter is followed by a sufficient number of exercises, and the answers to the exercises are provided at the end of the book.
