Features: This index includes 180 domestic journals published in 2001, with 67 law-related journals (Category D9 in China Library Classification) and 123 other social science journals. Among them, 66 journals (17 law-related and 49 others) are core journals selected by the Comprehensive Catalog of Chinese Core Journals (2000 Edition). The total number of entries is 7,943.
II. The bibliographic format of this index adopts national standards, specifically GB3793-83 Rules for Cataloging Entries of Search Journals, and is adapted to the characteristics of legal literature and retrieval habits. The format is as follows:
① Entry number → ② Title of the work → ③/Author(s) → //Journal name → ⑤ Year, Issue → ③ Page number.
This index provides four retrieval methods: classification, subject, author, and foreign law papers. Accordingly, it is structured into four main indexes: Classification Index, Subject Index, Author Index, and Foreign Law Papers Index. Since the Classification Index is the core of this index, a detailed Classification Index Directory is provided under it for easy reference.
The appendices of this index include an Index of Covered Journals, an Index of Legal Articles in Important Secondary Literature Journals, and an Index Tool for Important Secondary Literature Journals. The Index of Covered Journals lists the titles, publishers, and publication locations of the included journals. The asterisk () indicates other core journals.
