Painting Soul Pan Yuliang (Illustrated Collectible Edition)

Author: Shi Nan
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-03-01
Features: "I don’t need to use clichés like ‘a dazzling array of treasures,’ ‘too beautiful to behold,’ or ‘like encountering a winding mountain path where one can’t keep up’ to describe my feelings after visiting Yu Liang’s art exhibition. In short, among the painting exhibitions I’ve seen since returning to China, only Yu Liang’s has truly satisfied me. Several of her works were exhibited at the Rome Exhibition, and as a Chinese female artist, her presence there can truly be considered an international honor.”—Su Xuelin, renowned writer and literary critic
The text of this book has been available to readers for 20 years since its first publication. Now, I’m writing a preface for its brand-new edition, and my heart feels like there’s so much to say, yet I can’t seem to organize my thoughts. The pen in my hand is like an upside-down, full small-mouth oil bottle—though the oil is eager to pour out, nothing comes out. I don’t know how to write to truly express my feelings.
