How should varicocele be treated better?

Patient's question:

I am a taxi driver and have been sitting in a small space for a long time, lacking in physical activity. Recently, I noticed some pain in my testicles, and they seem to be of uneven height. Looking at the symptoms, I did some research and suspect it might be varicocele. I would like to ask: What is the best way to treat varicocele?

Doctor's answer:

Varicocele is more common on the left side and is related to the almost 90° angle between the left spermatic vein and the left renal vein. In most cases, it does not require treatment, but surgery is recommended in the following two situations:
1. Obvious symptoms: A feeling of heaviness and discomfort in the scrotum.
2. Infertility: Spermatogenic dysfunction caused by varicocele.
Although varicocele may not be the sole cause of infertility, it is at least a high-risk factor. It is recommended to use Tong Su Shu Mai Fang treatment as early as possible to warm the body, dispel cold, regulate qi, and prevent high-altitude induced abortion.
