Features: Food safety is a fundamental requirement that food must meet. However, in today's increasingly advanced science and technology, food has become increasingly unsafe. This phenomenon exists in both developing and developed countries, with developing countries being particularly affected. This is because the economies and societies of developing countries are undergoing rapid and profound transformations. Rapid urbanization, deteriorating ecological environments, outdated food production technologies, and the large number of impoverished populations all contribute to severe food safety issues.
In the case of China, the situation regarding food safety is also quite. Currently, China faces numerous safety hazards in various aspects, including the supply of agricultural inputs, the environmental conditions of food production areas, the animal disease prevention system, agricultural production and food processing, as well as food sales. There are also many shortcomings in the food safety standard system, testing system, and certification system. Additionally, there are numerous issues in food safety enforcement. Counterfeit and substandard food products persist despite crackdowns, and major food safety incidents occur frequently, posing serious threats to the lives and health of the public.
