Features: Before writing The Unknown Man, Bruce Barton had already shown great promise. In his vibrant life, his main focus was his business experience—he sold magazines (sometimes even writing for them); promoted products with a positive attitude and the reputation of large companies; and at the same time, he fought to advance modern Protestantism. He worked in the publishing industry and wrote articles for newspapers and magazines. As a pioneer in advertising and public relations, he founded the renowned advertising agency Barton, Durstine & Osborn. The company was renamed Batten, Barton, Durstine & Osborn, or BBDO, in 1928. Today, BBDO has become one of the largest advertising agencies in the world. Later, Barton worked in Parliament for three years and also ran for the U.S. Senate.
