Features: This atlas consists of 770 electronic gastroscopy images divided into 4 parts. The first three parts cover the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. Each part begins with a brief introduction to the applied anatomy of gastroscopy and normal endoscopic images, followed by a more detailed description of endoscopic images of common diseases and certain rare conditions in that area. The classification of reflux esophagitis and chronic gastritis is based on the endoscopic diagnostic and grading standards established at the National Reflux Esophagitis (Disease) Symposium in Yantai in August 1999 and the classification standards formulated at the Jiangxi Chronic Gastritis Symposium in May 2000, respectively. The fourth part introduces key points of gastroscopy operation and requirements for electronic gastroscopy photography, and lists some statistical data of gastroscopy examinations conducted at our hospital in 1999.
