Features: All efforts of this series of books ultimately boil down to three specific goals and pursuits: life, exams, and creation. Writing is intended to help students better adapt to social life and lay a foundation for entering society, which is also the fundamental orientation of quality education. To this end, we have designed writing guidance and training for various practical writing styles. While fully encompassing the various practical writing types stipulated by the new curriculum standards, we have also expanded the scope to include some new and common practical writing forms. It must be admitted that students' writing ultimately needs to address exams. In this regard, the series is meticulously designed, balancing urgency and ease, adopting a dual-track system: on one hand, it integrates exam skills into the regular content, breaking it down into smaller parts and tackling it piece by piece; on the other hand, it introduces knowledge closely related to exam content and format in the grades nearing graduation—fifth and sixth, eighth and ninth, and eleventh and twelfth grades—striving to achieve a breakthrough in scores and thus realizing the ideal alignment of quality education and exam-oriented education. This series aims to popularize while also catering to improvement. Starting from the eleventh and twelfth grades, literary appreciation and creation are introduced, bringing students closer to literature and facilitating a qualitative leap in writing toward literature. This is the last major task the series aims to accomplish: to inspire interest in literary creation, guide students into the world of literature, and preliminarily shape their literary appreciation and creative abilities. Perhaps in the foreseeable future, among them will emerge May Fourth writers like Mao Dun, Ba Jin, or Shen Congwen. We have every reason to hope that the leap in writing instruction will keep pace with the great rejuvenation of the nation.
