The original plan for writing Cold War History also included Professor Fang Lianqing and Associate Professor Sha Xiaoming as co-authors. Due to Professor Fang Lianqing's busy teaching and research responsibilities, he later withdrew.
Associate Professor Sha Xiaoming, as a Fulbright visiting scholar, went to the United States to conduct research at Harvard University. Before leaving, he submitted preliminary drafts of chapters 7, 8, 9, and 10 from the original outline.
As needed, the author revised and rewrote these sections.
To respect the original authors' efforts, this book retains part of the content, approximately 40,000 words.
The author expresses heartfelt gratitude to Professor Fang Lianqing and Associate Professor Sha Xiaoming for their participation and collaboration, as well as for their hard work.
