Features: This textbook was compiled to meet the development of sociology education in China and to offer rural sociology courses in agricultural and forestry universities. During the writing process, we combined our years of teaching experience, adhering to the principle of balancing theory and practice. While following the logical narrative of rural sociology, we focused on analyzing the actual situations and practical issues encountered in China's rural social development, aiming to make the rural sociology system and content more complete and substantial. In the process of writing, we referred to and cited a large amount of relevant materials to as accurately and objectively as possible reflect the recent research achievements in rural sociology and the practical experience of China's rural reforms.
