Features: This book selects over 160 illustrations from Dian Shi Zhai Huabao to explain the late Qing period, with the content of these images all related to the living conditions of that time. Although these contents may differ from our current understanding and conclusions about history, the book preserves the selected images to enable us to recognize history more objectively. Additionally, the book includes historical materials related to the images for reference and reading by interested enthusiasts. From the 4,000 images in Dian Shi Zhai Huabao, approximately 160 images related to living conditions were "extracted" and supplemented with explanations, showcasing all aspects of late Qing life. Some content in the book may differ from our current understanding and conclusions about history, but the editors retained the selected images in line with the compiler's of "opening a wonderful window for history."
