Features: This experimental manual is compiled based on extensive teaching experience in our laboratory, especially the practical reforms in experimental teaching over the past decade. It has been repeatedly revised, supplemented, and edited. The selection and arrangement of its content are distinctive. The book is divided into four parts. The first part covers the theory of basic experimental techniques and methods in biochemistry, mainly including: spectrophotometry and colorimetric analysis, electrophoresis, chromatography, centrifugation techniques, radioisotope techniques, as well as the preparation of biochemical samples and essential biochemistry lab instructions; the second part focuses on general experimental technique training, mainly including: cleaning glassware, mixing and filtering solutions, using pipettes and micropipettes, operating centrifuges and balances, and preparing standard curves; the third part consists of basic biochemistry experiments, each requiring 2–4 hours, with selected content all related to the application of fundamental techniques such as centrifugation, electrophoresis, chromatography, and colorimetric analysis, suitable for undergraduate and junior college students; the fourth part features series of comprehensive experiments, where one experiment incorporates multiple techniques, offering strong comprehensive and intensive training but with higher difficulty, each requiring 5–8 hours, suitable for undergraduate students. An appendix is included at the end of the book, containing rich and practical content with significant reference value. The book uniformly adopts legal metrological units and expressions. Due to the substantial changes in some values after adopting legal units, which may cause inconvenience in work, the old units are still enclosed in parentheses after the legal values for reference. This textbook is suitable for undergraduate and junior college students in medical, pharmaceutical, imaging medicine, medical testing, health, stomatology, pediatrics, forensic medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine programs in medical colleges.
