Features: Liu Mingxing, the president of the alumni association of Xingyi High School in Subei, is a legendary illegitimate son of a powerful warlord in the north. Due to a twist of fate, he grew up in the household of a warlord and landlord. Despite the turbulent social conditions and unstable life, he developed an open-minded and optimistic personality, willing to help those in need, and gained the support of many people, especially the affection of numerous women, which led to a series of touching love stories. Shortly after the Great Massacre of April 12th in 1927, a headless female body was discovered on the campus of Xingyi High School. As Liu Mingxing was about to organize an investigation, his classmate Zhu Zixing falsely claimed that the victim was someone Liu Mingxing had killed. When the Northern Expedition Army entered the county, Liu Mingxing, to escape Zhu Ziguang's pursuit, went through great hardships and faced near-death experiences. It was only with the guidance of communists and the help of kind-hearted people that he gradually embarked on a heart-wrenching and tear-jerking path of resistance.
