Features: Why does school education implement the system of winter and summer vacations? Undoubtedly, it is to enrich children's lives, broaden their horizons, and enable them to gain knowledge and improve their abilities from various perspectives and approaches, thereby promoting their health and fostering excellent character qualities. Holidays are another realm where children can enjoy their happy lives and actively pursue growth, and they should be unforgettable years in their joyful childhood. Since May 1995, China has gradually implemented a five-day workweek system, and primary and secondary school students have also begun enjoying "weekend breaks," allowing them more vacation time. How to guide children to spend their long holidays well is a new challenge for the education of hundreds of millions of young children, which must be given sufficient attention by the state, society, schools, and countless families, and proactive measures must be taken. To comprehensively improve the quality of the population in China, Mr. Feng Dequan, after extensive research and experimentation, has developed and designed an early education "Early Education Plan." Now, to achieve the same goal, he has written and edited "Holiday Guidance for Primary School Students," using the holidays of hundreds of millions of primary school students as an entry point. This is a highly meaningful endeavor. Mr. Feng's "Holiday Guidance" is born out of inspiration, timely, and also driven by need. It not only reflects Mr. Feng's foresight but also embodies his love for children!
The term "Holiday Guidance" refers to a plan to implement education for children and adolescents during all their holidays. This is also an educational project, an important supplement to the school education plan, and a form of integrated social, family, and self-education for children. This book is written for primary school parents, teachers, and the general public, serving as a work that combines knowledge and methods. The content covered is quite extensive, including pedagogy, psychology, literature, science and technology, and art, reflecting the author's views on talent, education, and children, and containing rich ideas of quality education. I believe that after reading this book, parents and teachers can not only update some educational concepts but also learn practical knowledge and methods for guiding children to spend their holidays well, such as holiday activities, small experiments, and hands-on projects. Only by combining the enthusiasm of teachers and parents with the initiative of children can we ensure that children remain enthusiastic, proactive, and engaged in a rich and varied life during their holidays, enabling them to grow healthily and comprehensively improving their quality.
Of course, this book is only a limited attempt. More holiday activities, measures, and methods still need to be created by educational leadership departments, teaching research departments, and. More educational "software" should be published and produced for children's use during their holidays and free time (such as books, teaching aids, learning materials, toys, audio-visual materials, etc.).
Mr. Feng Dequan began his career in children's education in his youth, dedicating himself to the research and practice of early childhood education. For over 50 years, he has been a teacher, served as a leader in primary and secondary schools, taught child psychology in higher education, held positions in educational administration, and edited the children's education magazine "Talent Cradle." Especially since the late 1970s, he devoted himself to the study of early education, designing the "Early Education Plan" starting from age 0, and has widely promoted his research findings to society for practical application, achieving excellent results. Through long-term research and practice, he has written numerous works. The newly published "Feng Dequan Early Education Plan 3: Holidays Are More Important Than Terms" is an expansion of his child education philosophy and can also be seen as a supplement to the "Early Education Plan." It is a small flower that blooms in the garden of child education.
This book is one of the classic works of Mr. Feng Dequan, a renowned early education expert in China. Currently, primary and secondary school students in China have more than 180 holidays a year, accounting for half of their total living days. Therefore, how to utilize these holidays effectively is an extremely important issue related to the growth of children's lives. However, this topic has long been neglected. While Mr. Feng Dequan is dedicated to the research of early childhood education for infants and young children, he is also concerned with the learning and growth of primary and secondary school students. This book is a special gift from Professor Feng Dequan to the parents and teachers of primary and secondary school students. It provides a detailed introduction to the focus, content, and key principles of holiday guidance for primary and secondary school students in a conversational manner, covering all important aspects of their growth and development. The content is highly practical and actionable.
This is not just "Holiday Guidance" but also "Comprehensive Growth Guidance" for primary and secondary school students.
