Features: Housekeeping management, as a major component of modern hotel operations management, has undergone significant transformations in its management philosophy, content, and methods, shifting from traditional experience-based management to scientific management. In the mid-1980s, overseas hotel management groups entered China's hotel management market, introducing different room decorations, facility arrangements, service methods, and advanced housekeeping management concepts and practices compared to China's traditional inns. By the late 1980s, the China National Tourism Administration was responsible for formulating and promoting the "Classification and Evaluation of Star Grades for Tourist Hotels," which integrated international standards with the actual operating environment of China's hotel industry, thereby elevating the housekeeping management of modern hotels in China to an international level of modern management. This book, guided by management theory, draws on advanced international hotel housekeeping management practices and combines them with China's hotel industry management experience to systematically explore theoretical and practical issues such as the design of hotel customer products, room pricing decisions, the organizational design of the front office and housekeeping department, room reservation and sales in the front office, the organization of front office and housekeeping services, the arrangement of daily cleaning work, and client material control. It emphasizes theoretical rigor, scientificity, and practicality, aiming to provide valuable insights for the housekeeping management of China's hotel industry.
