Features: Every designer, immersed in an atmosphere of beauty, intellect, and spirituality, always eagerly wants to share the background stories, concepts, thoughts, and ideas behind their designs. Like the convergence of knowledge, it is not born from mere imagination but rather from on-the-ground exploration, experimentation, or the transmission of experiences and knowledge from others through various media. This allows for the integration of a complete conceptual framework and the addition of one's own insights and perspectives. With extensive immersion in the exploration of Japanese design culture and aesthetic philosophies, the initial inspiration came from curiosity about a few sentences in a book, which sparked an interest and joy in exploration. This has led to the completion of some knowledge pieces in this field, much like the series theme of this book: "The Puzzle Book of Culture & Design." What is currently presented is a small piece of a complete conceptual map. When all the puzzle pieces are fully connected, they will inevitably form a comprehensive design concept communication. Perhaps it is similar to the principle of Japanese Buddhist Zen philosophy—“small but powerful.” Through this small, lightweight, and elegant booklet, essential and intrinsic thinking can be generated, and personal cultural character and aesthetic experiences can be formed. Sometimes, there are also serendipities between people and knowledge. After this knowledge puzzle encounters you, we hope to see more meetings of puzzle pieces from different fields, ignite sparks of design concepts, and create more space for discussion and exploration, while humbly accepting guidance from advanced ideas in various fields. Finally, thanks to all the staff at Tian Yuan City for their dedication, which brought this puzzle piece of the conceptual map to life.
