Author: China Association of Scholars and Economists in the U.S.
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-12-01
Features: The book is very rich in content, including some introductory and review essays, such as discussions on corporate financial structure, corporate theory, game theory, economic mechanism design theory, transaction cost economics, recursive programming, linear regression estimation methods, and trade and industrial policies. Some essays focus on new development directions, covering trade theory and growth theory, nonlinear economics, development economics, and North-South trade theory, among others. Generally, the quality of the papers is excellent, making it an excellent reference for students who have received basic microeconomic training in China, as well as for economists and social science researchers with good comprehension and analytical abilities. Personally, some topics were not thoroughly studied by me, but the essays in this book provide excellent introductions. Some of them even offer better explanations than those found in English books. I sincerely recommend this collection of essays to Chinese readers for reading and reference.
