Features: Preface This book is one of the "Modern Distance Education Series Textbooks" launched by the School of Network Education of Renmin University of China and Renmin University of China Press. The book aims to comprehensively introduce the Civil Procedure Law of China while deeply elaborating on the main theories of civil procedure law, enabling readers not only to master the basic knowledge of Civil Procedure Law but also to grasp the spirit of the procedural law and understand the development trends of civil procedure legislation and theoretical research in China. The book is compiled by Tang Weijian and Xiang Tai. Chapters I to III and VI were written by Xiang Tai, while Chapters IV and V were written by Tang Weijian. The final revision and editing were done by Tang Weijian. During the compilation process, we strictly adhered to the writing principles and format of this series of textbooks and considered the potential needs of readers, striving to make the text concise, clear, and meaningful with distinct viewpoints. The book includes references to the research findings of other scholars, and although we could not list them all, we have included a bibliography at the end for which we express our gratitude. Professor Zan Chunsheng of the School of Network Education of Renmin University of China and the editors of Renmin University of China Press have devoted significant effort to the publication of this book, and we can only express our sincere respect here. In recent years, in the process of building a socialist rule-of-law country, China's civil procedure legislation, adjudication, and theoretical research have been highly active and rapidly developing, which means that a significant portion of the content in this book is bound to become outdated in the near future. Moreover, due to the limitations of the authors' own expertise, the book may contain omissions or even errors, which require further improvement and refinement in the future. We sincerely hope that readers will kindly offer their advice and corrections.
