Features: Land is the foundation of human survival and the source of wealth, serving as the material basis for all human activities. With the continuous growth of China's population and the implementation of sustainable development strategies, how to scientifically manage land, operate and utilize it more intensively, how to feed nearly 1/4 of the world's population with only 14% of the world's cultivated land area, and how to curb the shrinking area of cultivated land and the increasing severity of land desertification have become increasingly focused on and urgent issues. Moreover, to build a harmonious socialist society and a resource-saving and environmentally friendly society, it is essential to rely on land resources as a fundamental prerequisite. Therefore, it is particularly necessary and important to register and inventory the limited national land and support it with necessary investigation, statistical analysis, and management. This book is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter mainly elaborates on the general meaning of cadastral surveys, the concept and principles of cadastral management; the second chapter mainly elaborates on the investigation of land use status, land use classification, and the process and summarization of land use status surveys; the third chapter introduces cadastral surveys, including land tenure surveys, cadastral surveys, and change cadastral surveys; the fourth chapter mainly elaborates on land condition surveys, including natural and socio-economic condition surveys; the fifth chapter mainly elaborates on land registration, including initial land registration and change land registration; the sixth chapter mainly elaborates on land statistics, including land statistical design, land statistical surveys, land statistical organization, and analysis; the last chapter introduces the archival management of cadastral surveys, including the organization of cadastral archives, the preservation and utilization of cadastral archives.
