Features: Why was Hancheng chosen as the starting point? Hancheng, anciently known as Longmen. Sima Qian, the "Immortal Historian of a Thousand Autumns," said, "Qian was born in Longmen." The myths of "The Carp Leaping Over the Dragon Gate" and "Da Yu Carving the Dragon Gate" have also endowed Longmen with a beautiful and mysterious charm. Moreover, the natural allure and cultural significance of Longmen, which combines both narrow and wide river channels of the Yellow River, are undoubtedly the main reasons for Tang Shicheng's choice of Hancheng as the starting point for his "Riding Across the Yellow River" journey. Tang Shicheng said that he chose Hancheng as a station for his "Riding Across the Yellow River" precisely because he saw it as the best combination of nature and culture. Tang Shicheng and his "Riding Across the Yellow River" team will complete the filming of a 10-episode documentary in Hancheng, making it a pivotal part of the project. Walking on the land of Hancheng, visiting the Sima Qian Temple, exploring the Dangjia Village, meeting the Yellow River fishermen, investigating the Western Zhou tombs, watching Hancheng (a traditional dance), listening to Hancheng (a traditional drumming performance), and admiring the Hancheng dance of the gods' pavilion—all these experiences allow one to appreciate the relationship between the ancient yellow soil culture of Hancheng and the development of modern society.
