Features: This series of books is meticulously compiled by over a dozen experts and scholars with years of CPA exam tutoring experience, based on the new changes in the 2006 exam syllabus and teaching materials. The book consists of five parts:
1. Study Methods and Exam Techniques: Helps candidates comprehensively understand exam information for different subjects (pass rates, question types and quantities, characteristics of different question types, and exam techniques), study methods (analysis of key chapters, major changes in the 2006 teaching materials and their impact on the 2006 exam), and exam precautions.
2. Detailed Explanation of Key Points in Each Chapter and Classic Self-Assessment Question Bank: This section includes four modules:
(1) Exam Situation Analysis: Helps candidates quickly grasp the question types and quantities, question-setting logic, and major changes in the 2006 teaching materials for each chapter over the last 3 years, enabling them to accurately allocate time and focus on different chapters.
(2) Detailed Explanation of Key Points: This is the most distinctive part of the book. In the "Detailed Explanation of Key Points," not only are the key and difficult points listed, but in-depth analysis and interpretation are provided for important points, supplemented by examples and cases. Candidates not only need to know which points are important but also need to truly learn how to apply them in the exam.
(3) Classic Question Review: Past exam questions are undoubtedly the best study materials for candidates. By carefully studying past questions, candidates can not only learn and master a large number of key points but also accurately grasp the difficulty level, question-setting direction, logic, and techniques of the CPA exam, thereby effectively guiding their exam preparation. However, since teaching materials are constantly adjusted and updated, how to filter out the most valuable questions from the vast pool of questions is a challenge for candidates. For this reason, (with a strong sense of responsibility toward candidates), the book meticulously scans questions from 1998 to 2005, filtering out the "Classic Question Review" that is valuable for the 2006 teaching materials.
(4) Key Point Self-Assessment, Answers, and Explanations: If the "Detailed Explanation of Key Points" is like "class notes," then the "Classic Self-Assessment Question Bank" is like "homework." The CPA exam's requirements for candidates are concentrated in three words: steady (multiple-choice questions), accurate (multiple-choice questions), and fast (calculation and comprehensive questions). Although we strongly oppose "cramming," without persistent high-intensity training before the exam, candidates may find it difficult to adapt to the difficulty and volume of the CPA exam.
3. Answers to Key, Difficult, and Hot Issues: Authors of each subject, based on their years of exam tutoring experience, select dozens of representative questions that candidates frequently ask in tutoring classes, according to the requirements of the 2006 exam syllabus and teaching materials, and provide in-depth analysis and interpretation. Answers to difficult questions candidates may encounter during their study process can be found here.
4. Practical Exercises for Subjective Questions: The CPA exam focuses on testing candidates' comprehensive ability to solve complex problems. Therefore, the last few major questions in each subject's exam often involve key points from different chapters of the teaching materials, which is precisely the difficulty of the CPA exam. For this reason, we have carefully designed over a dozen subjective questions with high difficulty, covering more key points and emphasizing practical operational skills, hoping candidates will "tackle the challenge head-on."
5. Full-Scale Simulation Test Questions: After thoroughly reviewing the books and completing the questions, the final challenge lies in whether candidates can perform to their full potential within the limited time of the exam. This depends not only on their regular study level but also on their exam performance under pressure. For this reason, the book includes three full-scale simulation tests, hoping candidates can complete them independently in a simulated exam environment.
