Features: Adult higher education is an important part of China's higher education, responsible for serving local socio-economic development, providing continuing education for working professionals, and building a learning society. To further meet the requirements of adult higher education and highlight the characteristics of adult education, while better accommodating diverse candidates for the National Unified Examination for Adult College Admission, and reflecting the objectives of the entrance examination, relevant departments of the Ministry of Education revised the "Review and Examination Syllabus for National Unified Examination of Various Adult Colleges" (hereinafter referred to as "The Syllabus") after researching and analyzing the content of examination questions, candidates' answer sheets, and score statistics from the past two years. The revised "Syllabus" fully considers the unique learning background of adult candidates, enhances adaptability for working professionals, and places greater emphasis on assessing candidates' ability to grasp and understand fundamental knowledge, as well as analyze and solve practical problems. The revised "Syllabus" includes two parts: senior high school entry to undergraduate and junior college, and junior college entry to undergraduate. The senior high school entry to undergraduate and junior college "Syllabus" covers eight examination subjects: Chinese, Chinese (for ethnic minority candidates in areas where ethnic languages are used for teaching who apply for adult college admission in Chinese), mathematics, English, Japanese, Russian, physics and chemistry, and history and geography. It is published in one volume by the People's Education Press and Higher Education Press. The junior college entry to undergraduate "Syllabus" includes ten examination subjects: politics, English, college Chinese, introduction to art, advanced mathematics (I), advanced mathematics (II), civil law, educational theory, fundamentals of ecology, and medical comprehensive. To facilitate review for candidates from different disciplines, it is divided into five volumes and published by Higher Education Press. The revised "Syllabus" is intended for candidates taking the National Unified Examination for Adult College Admission in October 2006 and enrolling in spring 2007. This volume is the review and examination syllabus for junior college entry to undergraduate in science and engineering, designed for candidates with junior college graduation level who apply for science (excluding biological science, geographical science, environmental science, and psychology) and engineering programs.
