Features: In order to implement the instructions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the compilation of ancient Chinese classics, the National Committee for the Compilation and Research of Ancient Chinese Classics in Higher Education held its first meeting in October 1983 and decided to compile and publish the "Series of Ancient Chinese Educational Literature." In March 1984, the Editorial Committee for the "Series of Ancient Chinese Educational Literature" was established to organize and oversee the compilation and editing of this series.
