Features: Du Fu (712–770), styled Zimei, called himself Shaoling Ye lao, was originally from Xiangyang (now part of Hubei) and was born in Gongxian (now Gongyi, Henan). A great realist poet of the Tang Dynasty. His works are mostly drawn from reality, reflecting the social contradictions and changes of the time, and are known as "[Poetic History]". Du Fu represents another peak in the development of ancient Chinese poetic art and is revered by later generations as "[Sage of Poetry]". The full title of this book is "Wang Zhuangyuan Ji Baijia Zhu Bian Nian Du Ling Shi Shi," a Song Dynasty edition, consisting of thirty-two volumes. It compiles over a thousand Du Fu poems in chronological order, making it a comprehensive collection of Du Fu's works, with annotations by renowned scholars of the time. In the modern era, the bibliophile Liu Shiheng of Guichi carved the "Yuhaitang Jing Song Yuanben Congshu," and "Du Ling Shi Shi" was one of the works included. This edition is meticulously printed, retaining the charm of a Song Dynasty publication. It includes appended annotations that examine the differences between various editions, making it highly valuable for reference. Since the 1960s, the woodblocks of this book have been preserved and carefully maintained by Yangzhou Guangling Book Society (Ancient Woodblock Printing Society). To preserve this excellent heritage and promote traditional culture, this precious ancient book has been printed and published for wider dissemination.
