Dr. Zhan Aiping graduated from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, Ontario in 2002. She has been teaching Chinese in international schools for decades, with extensive teaching experience. Currently, she is the Curriculum and Instruction Director of the Chinese Department at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort International School, a member of the World Comparative Education Association, and a member of the International School Association of Mongolia. Her research focuses on the initial teaching of Chinese in international schools and developing teaching methods based on students' different educational backgrounds and learning characteristics. The Chinese Snowball Series textbooks can be said to be a combination of her teaching experience and teaching philosophy.
