Features: But then, I encountered another unlucky incident: It was pitch black outside, and the moon was nowhere to be seen. I searched around blindly, got completely disoriented, and couldn’t remember the way back to the guesthouse—I was lost! It was utterly quiet all around, so quiet that I could hear a sewing needle drop to the ground. No one was visible by the river; only the sound of the wind rustling the leaves echoed in my ears. I wandered and hesitated by the river, walking with my head down. Suddenly, in the dim night, I saw a row of snow-white railings ahead, with a long, white bench faintly visible behind them. I was overjoyed and leaped over the railings like jumping over hurdles on a sports field, plopping down on the bench. At that moment, I felt an indescribable sense of comfort. To make it even more comfortable, I simply lay down, using my backpack as a pillow and placing it under my head. I had originally planned to rest for just a little while, but somehow, my eyelids felt as heavy as a thousand pounds, and I couldn’t lift them. Soon after, I fell fast asleep and even dreamed!
In the dream, I was still on the grassy bank of the river, searching for my beloved camera. I searched and searched, and in the dark, thicket-like bushes, I suddenly spotted two green, glowing lights—the eyes of a tiger! Instantly, I trembled with fear. The tiger bared its teeth and claws, letting out a roar: "Ahhh—" "Help! Help!" I shouted loudly and shot up in bed. Golden sunlight shone on my eyelids. It was already morning; the eastern sky was painted with hues of dawn, and the sun was rising slowly. Rubbing my sleepy eyes, I realized it had all been a dream.
I looked around and wondered, "Wait, why are the trees in front of me rushing backward so quickly?" Could I be dizzy? I stood up. Oh no! I realized I was on a huge ship. At that moment, the ship let out another loud "Ahhh—" which made me understand: the roar of the tiger in my dream was actually the ship’s whistle! Upon closer observation, I also realized something else: the white railings I had jumped over in the dark were actually the handrails on the ship’s side. And the bench where I had fallen asleep was placed right on the ship’s corridor. How was this possible?
