Features: Go, with its unique charm of profound depth and infinite variations, has been passed down for thousands of years. In recent years, with the shift from exam-oriented education to quality-oriented education, many projects that contribute to intellectual development have gained widespread attention. This cultural treasure that helps the mind, Go, has been particularly favored by kindergartens, schools, youth centers, and clubs. Currently, the number of children learning Go in these institutions has been rising year by year. However, with the development of the situation, new challenges have emerged. For decades, Go has been categorized as a competitive sport in China, and there have been no established teaching models. Although there are already thousands of Go books available, most of them are presented in thematic formats. For example, a thick book on life-and-death problems spans from beginner to advanced levels, with some problems even taking professional players half an hour to solve. Using such a book as a textbook or practice material is essentially asking elementary school students to take a Ph.D. exam. Since 1997, when I started a Go club, I have been teaching, instructing, and serving as a judge for Go teacher training programs for many years, accumulating extensive teaching experience. I have always believed that Go should also be learned step by step, like studying in the first, second, or third grades of elementary school. In 2002, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Hunan People's Publishing House to write the "Step-by-Step Go" series. This series is divided into three beginner volumes, three intermediate volumes, and two advanced volumes. So far, three beginner volumes and two intermediate volumes have been published, totaling five volumes. The first five volumes have received positive reviews from readers. So, how will the later volumes turn out? Receiving these letters and evaluations from readers has made me both happy and. It seems I can only put aside other matters and focus on writing with peace of mind. At the same time, to help readers better study the tutorial, I am delighted to announce that we have specially published a companion tutorial for "Step-by-Step Go." This companion tutorial is the "Rank and Dan Test" series, divided into three volumes: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
The beginner volume carefully selects 1,000 comprehensive test questions ranging from rank 30 to 1 dan for you. This practical and progressive comprehensive test exercise has now gone out of print! This is its revised edition. The revised test contains 1,000 questions that are not only abundant in quantity but also carefully curated, with the classification of the test results clearly marked. Students can directly use a pencil to complete the exercises and check their scores and rank/dan level.
Go rank and dan test.
