Features: The current discussions on the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region are experiencing the second wave of enthusiasm since the 1980s. How to propose development directions based on more than 20 years of development practices in the Yangtze River Delta region, combined with the theory of international metropolitan belts, is a question that needs further exploration. Especially whether it is possible to build the Yangtze River Delta into a metropolitan belt in the world that is not only the largest in scale but also serves as an engine for the global economy, is a topic worthy of further discussion. — Zhu Da Jian (Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, School of Economics and Management, Tongji University)
