Such breadth, though not easily achieved, fully reflects the social responsibility of a true educator. In my opinion, what makes the "New Curriculum Standards" new lies first not in the novelty of textbooks, but in the novelty of their framework. This textbook series broadens the fundamental scope of "Chinese," giving it a deeper and richer life dimension.
