Features: A terrifying car accident, with the car destroyed and people killed, a scene too tragic to behold. When the police examined the scene, they found various inexplicable pieces of evidence: Was it an accidental car crash or a deliberate murder? On the morning of April 22, 2000, around 5 a.m., in Zhenhai City, a coastal metropolis in China, on the highway leading to neighboring provinces, the faint morning mist blurred the road, the central dividing strip, the roadside trees, farmhouses, and fields, creating a hazy, ethereal atmosphere. A few morning sparrows broke through the mist, flying and chirping in the morning light, bringing a lively and harmonious vitality to the awakening sky and earth. The spring breeze once again turned the southern bank of the Yangtze River green. A new day had begun. Suddenly, a small car sped down the end of the highway. As it approached the section of the dividing strip where a large patch of forsythia flowers were in full bloom, it suddenly discovered a terrifying car accident. The high-end small car had been completely engulfed in flames, its body mangled beyond recognition. It seemed to have hit something at high speed and rolled several times, causing the front end to crumple significantly, becoming grotesque and sinister, like a monster sent by death. It lay there quietly, defiantly displaying its form, forming a stark contrast with the vibrant forsythia flowers beside it—a powerful juxtaposition of life and death, passion and coldness, youth and cruelty, ugliness and beauty. Any driver witnessing such a tragic scene would be terrified. The car's driver realized the accident had occurred at some mysterious hour in the dead of night, so no one had called the police. Without hesitation, he took out his small, elegant color-screen mobile phone, dialed the police department's emergency number, reported the location of the accident, and then drove his car rapidly forward. The surroundings remained silent, with the chirping of morning sparrows faintly heard in the distance. The forsythia flowers continued to smile in the wind, unchanging in their vigilance beside the pile of blackened debris in front of them. Truly, it was a world of two extremes: the human world and hell. Shortly after, a blue and white police car roared to a halt nearby. Three police officers emerged from the car: Zeng Xiongda, the head of the Traffic Accident Processing Division of the Zhenhai Municipal Public Security Bureau, and his two assistants, Xiao Zhang and Xiao Tian. Zeng Xiongda was in his early forties, thin and tall, with sharp eyes that seemed always fixed in suspicion and research. He walked around the accident scene, forming an impression in his mind: the car was destroyed, and people were killed. The car was a high-end Mercedes-Benz 600 worth 3 million yuan, indicating that its owner was a wealthy individual with significant financial resources. From the outside, the car had been severely deformed after an intense collision, then caught fire and burned completely, leaving only a pile of charcoal. Together with his assistants, he approached the car's body and peered inside through the deformed windows. The driver, pinned under the violently deformed steering wheel, was male based on his clothing. There was no one in the passenger seat. In the back seat, three people—two men and one woman—were dead, burned beyond recognition, their bodies unrecognizable. How could such a tragic accident have occurred?
