What are the symptoms of cervical inflammation?

Patient's question:

I've been experiencing some abnormal discharge recently. The amount is quite high, requiring me to use 3 or 4 pads daily. The color is slightly yellow, and there's also a faint odor. After sexual intercourse, there are a few small blood streaks, and my lower abdomen also aches persistently. When I mentioned these symptoms to my sister, she suggested that I might have cervical inflammation.

Doctor's answer:

Cervicitis is a common disease among women, with three main causes: mechanical irritation or injury, unclean sexual activity, and natural or induced abortion, diagnostic as well as labor can all lead to cervical injury and cause inflammation. Cervicitis is a common disease among women of childbearing age, with two types: acute and chronic. Acute cervicitis is often accompanied by acute endometritis or acute vaginitis, but chronic cervicitis is more common. Chronic cervicitis may occur after acute cervicitis. Generally speaking, chronic cervicitis will not improve without treatment. Since chronic cervicitis is usually characterized by increased leukorrhea, contact bleeding, lower abdominal pain, lumbosacral pain, and menstrual disorders, if left untreated, it will only worsen.
