Features: The language of the Han ethnic group is rich, with a vast vocabulary. To engage with and master a rich vocabulary, to distinguish between synonyms and near-synonyms, and to use words accurately—this is one of the most fundamental and important tasks in primary school Chinese language teaching. This dictionary is compiled based on this practical need. It groups the synonyms and near-synonyms of a word together, provides examples for illustration, and includes concise explanations. This approach, which has not been seen in many previous primary school dictionaries, will greatly facilitate students in mastering vocabulary. This dictionary is primarily intended for use by primary school students but can also be used by junior high school students and readers with intermediate proficiency in Chinese. Adhering to the principle of combining scientific rigor with practicality, the dictionary emphasizes both the accuracy of definitions and explanations while catering to the learning characteristics of primary school students. The selection of words in this dictionary is mainly based on the experimental textbooks for the compulsory education curriculum issued by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the full-time primary school Chinese textbooks, while also taking into account other versions of primary school Chinese textbooks. The basic format of the dictionary is as follows: All words are arranged in alphabetical order according to the Pinyin system; under each word, its synonyms and near-synonyms are listed together with explanations. After each word, there is a Pinyin pronunciation note.
