Features: Art has two forms of expression: one is representation, and the other is expression. We advocate the latter, as stated by Matisse: "What I am after is above all expression." This is also the purpose of this book: to focus on the omnipresent color and explore the boundless expression. When it comes to color, it often seems ordinary, yet it is actually a profound subject. Although we face a colorful world at every moment, to truly "see" color is not always guaranteed. It is like walking along a river buried in gold sand—we may know it exists (below Jin), but we cannot obtain the gold. Only the diligent gold miner not only feels it but also discovers the treasure within. We hope that Western color concepts are accepted, that Eastern perspectives on color are not overlooked, and that digital color forms join the stage of color. In reality, no matter what form they take, there is no hierarchy among various methods of color expression. Regardless of the method used, in every field, one can seek true joy: the joy of discovery, the joy of expression, and the joy of mining for treasure in the sand.
