Features: The "Teaching Material of Political Economy" was initially commissioned by the Education Department of the Ministry of Education and the University Work Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China in 1981, and was compiled by the Department of Economics at Renmin University of China, with the senior economics professor Song Tao serving as the chief editor. It was intended as a teaching material for university Marxist theory courses and finance and economics majors. The book was first published in March 1982 and has been reprinted seven times to date.
