Features: Economics (Quarterly) is a major academic journal in economics that aligns with international academic research and actively focuses on Chinese economic issues. It is sponsored by the China Economic Research Center of Peking University and published by Peking University Press. The purpose of this journal is to: provide a high-level platform for Chinese economists' research, serve as a focal point for communication within the Chinese economics community, and pave the way for the development of Chinese economics as a global discipline. Our creed is: to study China's local economic phenomena using international-standard methods; when China becomes the world's largest economy, the achievements of Chinese economic research will also be world-class achievements. We hope, through the collective efforts of the economics community, Economics (Quarterly) can publish a series of groundbreaking research findings and nurture a group of world-class economics masters.
This journal features four sections: Reviews, Papers, Debates, and Book Reviews. The Reviews section publishes review articles written by renowned scholars on the latest academic developments in a specific field. The Papers section publishes original theoretical, econometric, and empirical research articles. The length of papers is generally no more than 15,000 words. The Debates section publishes comments on articles that have already been published in the Reviews and Papers sections, along with responses from the original authors. The Book Reviews section features accessible and readable introductions and critiques of new Chinese economics books.
Economics (Quarterly) follows the international standard large 16-page format, with approximately 250 pages per issue, totaling four issues per year. The journal is printed with exquisite design and binding, offering compelling, insightful, and highly valuable academic reference and preservation. It is a must-read for scholars and students dedicated to learning cutting-edge theories and methods in modern economics and conducting research on China's local economic issues.
