Features: Since the reform and opening-up, China's literature and art have developed rapidly, and people's cultural level has greatly improved. As a result, more and more amateur enthusiasts have taken up learning the violin. However, to learn the violin, one must have a basic tutorial suitable for amateur learners, which can help learners master the general knowledge and playing techniques of the violin. This is arranged with the principle of "less but better," meaning it is written based on the needs of learners. This tutorial has the following features:
1. According to the needs of learners, the book is arranged progressively, starting from C major and moving deeper into the seven basic positions of the violin based on the difficulty of sharps and flats. It then follows with exercises for the second, third, and fourth fixed positions. To strengthen the practice of fixed positions and aid memory, a review lesson for fixed positions is included. Finally, shifting exercises are arranged according to difficulty, from lesson 13 to lesson 20. Some longer etudes have been shortened. The book consists of 20 lessons, collecting most of the technical exercises for the violin and over 30 famous violin solos from both China and abroad. Please note this.
2. Learners who do not understand sheet music can learn it along with the playing techniques in this tutorial. The first five lessons include rhythm exercises using both simplified notation and sheet music, so as long as learners have basic knowledge of simplified notation, they can learn sheet music and thus master the playing methods and techniques of the violin.
3. To help learners achieve a certain technical level after completing this tutorial, the book is accompanied by a set of amateur violin grading tutorials compiled by the China Conservatory of Music and the Central Conservatory of Music. Nine levels of examination questions are arranged progressively, allowing learners to choose a level based on their actual proficiency. They can take the national amateur exams annually and obtain a national certification upon passing.
4. If learners cannot find a teacher, they can still learn the violin's playing methods and techniques through the illustrations and explanations in this book by practicing diligently. However, learners must strictly follow the requirements of each lesson and study progressively. Of course, having a teacher is better.
5. To help learners clarify the learning tasks and progress at each stage, the book is divided into four phases: Lessons 1-6 are for the primary level, lessons 7-12 for the secondary level, lessons 13-15 for the high school level, and lessons 16-20 for the university level. The time spent on each lesson can be adjusted based on the learner's. Learners can complete this tutorial in about four years of amateur study. Upon completion, their level will be equivalent to that of a professional violinist at the sixth or seventh grade level, laying a solid foundation for further study in this field.
