Features: In a sense, playing techniques are the key to unlocking the artistic door of instrumental music. They are inseparable from instrumental works, serving as pioneers and playing a pioneering role. However, learning playing techniques is not the ultimate goal of studying musical art. Playing techniques are merely a means and a way to express musical works. Mastering them skillfully is to provide an innovative interpretation of the deeper connotations of the works. Music is like a poem or a painting. Composers merely design a framework, provide an impression, and offer a line of thought, leaving much for the performer to fill, refine, and enrich, guiding the audience to explore deeper along this line of thought. For performers, in addition to diligently studying and mastering playing techniques, there is much knowledge to be learned and explored. Only in this way can they fulfill the responsibility of being artistic ambassadors. This book aims to achieve artistic effects by systematically explaining various playing techniques of the clarinet, analyzing their origins, teaching their methods, and attempting to highlight some important yet easily overlooked artistic expression techniques as key content of the works. Many of the viewpoints and methods in this article have been widely adopted in many countries and regions and have been well-verified by the author and the author's students. However, to date, few playing tutorials have mentioned them. To help clarinet beginners practice from the beginning, to get in touch with these contents, grasp their key points, and familiarize themselves with their methods, so as to avoid having to go back and make up for lessons after several years of study, the relevant content has been specially emphasized. It is hoped that it can become a stepping stone on the path of growth for performers. Here mainly refer to the following aspects of content: 1. The "reverse finger technique" when using the A key; 2. The "dot finger technique" when using overtone keys; 3. How to use a fixed method to permanently attract the lips, combining the advantages of single and double lip techniques while discarding their shortcomings; 4. How to strengthen the practice of pentatonic scales and other exercises to better serve folk music with this instrument; 5. How to compose basic exercises for scales, arpeggios, major triads, dominant seventh chords, etc.; 6. Fast tongue articulation methods. The entire book is divided into two parts: the first part mainly contains theory, and the second part is tutorial content.
