It is an essential guide for beginners in art. Organizing and arranging a set of still-life objects can inspire our desire and enthusiasm for drawing, enhance aesthetic appreciation, and train us in depicting different textures. When organizing a still-life arrangement, the following points should be noted:
1. The content should be harmonious and have a theme. Fruits, vegetables, daily and study items, ceramic, porcelain, copper, and tin jars, as well as glassware, can all be arranged into still-life compositions with unique charm.
2. The volume and shape should vary, with an overall aesthetically pleasing design.
3. The colors of the objects and drapery should either contrast or complement each other, ranging from vibrant to subtle. There should be a unified tone with lively contrasts.
4. The textures of the objects should vary. Rough and refined, coarse and smooth, hard and soft should be interwoven with contrasts to avoid monotony.
5. The arrangement should have a balance of density and spacing, with clear focal points and scattered elements. Properly arranged spacing and density can create rhythmic beauty in the artwork.
6. Lighting, preferably natural light from above, as northern daylight changes less dramatically. Using artificial light sources tends to produce more monotonous color tones.
