Features: While Hui Ling pressed the elevator button, she took out the key. My God! She lived on the 6th floor, but she kept pressing the 10th floor. How could this happen? She always couldn’t distinguish between "public" and "private." But it wasn’t her fault that she was out of her mind. She had engaged in a 6-hour brain battle with the company’s copywriter and AE to finalize tomorrow’s proposal, and she was so exhausted that her hands trembled even when holding the key. She just wanted to take a quick shower and climb into bed to sleep.
As she walked to the entrance hall, a foul smell of alcohol and smoke greeted her. Before her was her husband, Wu Haotian, wearing pajamas, and an expensive brandy gifted by a client. This drunk, he really knew how to enjoy himself. A wave of desperate anger surged through Hui Ling’s mind, and she was about to explode. "Wu Haotian, what are you doing? You’ve made this place messier than a garbage dump!"
After finally waiting for Hui Ling to come back, he immediately started scolding her, and a deep sense of grievance gnawed at Wu Haotian’s heart. "You didn’t come back until midnight. How dare you yell at me like that?" "How dare I? Because I earn more money than you. What, you’re not satisfied?" Hui Ling couldn’t stand Wu Haotian’s foolish expression anymore, because it also made her doubt her own judgment—how could she have married someone like him?
To prevent her cells from being burned out by anger, Hui Ling turned around and walked to her room without looking back—out of sight, out of mind. Wu Haotian was rejected, though his emotions were thrown into chaos by Hui Ling. However, he still felt a deep sense of affection for his hardworking wife, and cherishing his wife was a responsibility every husband should fulfill. Why fight with his own pillowmate and end up both hurt? Once he realized this, Wu Haotian returned to his room with a desire for reconciliation.
Back then, when their new home was newly built, the couple had specially asked an interior designer to create a very romantic bathroom—semi-transparent frosted glass that wrapped endless imagination. Now, Wu Haotian lay lazily in bed, holding a martial arts novel in his hands, reading while admiring Hui Ling’s ethereal figure. The hazy, smoky atmosphere made him feel as if he were in a misty, secluded paradise, with a fairytale-like "Little Dragon Girl" beside him. She wore a white silk robe, her eyes sparkling with tears, gazing at him with affection. She slightly parted her red lips, letting out a soft whisper like music; her warm, slender fingers traced his hair and lips, reaching deep into his heart, stirring him with an unusual thrill. Perfect women always live in a man’s imagination.
Regardless of how unwilling Wu Haotian was, he had to return to reality and face the real "Little Dragon Girl."
When Hui Ling opened the bathroom door, a sweet fragrance mixed with steam slowly diffused into the room. With a bit of alcohol in his system and the soft lighting adding to the mood, Wu Haotian realized that Hui Ling was the "Little Dragon Girl" he had missed so much. He was suddenly filled with the feeling of "that person is right there in the dimly lit place."
Wearing a white silk robe, Hui Ling seemed even more charming and graceful. Her delicate legs were occasionally visible through the silk robe, and even her slightly rigid hair strands had become smooth under the steam. However, when Wu Haotian’s gaze shifted to her face, he slightly disappointedly noticed that she still seemed angry about what had just happened.
Hui Ling’s face was tight, her lips pursed in defiance, and she walked to the bed without a word, picking up her pillow and blanket to go to the study to sleep.
Wu Haotian watched Hui Ling’s every move intently. His wife’s silent protest not only failed to anger him but instead stirred his masculine instincts, igniting a desire to conquer. It was like in the movie Gone with the Wind, when Rhett Butler could no longer tolerate Scarlett O’Hara’s unreasonable behavior. His reaction was to pick up the stubborn Scarlett and walk back to the room in a very masculine manner. Yes, that’s what he should do.
With this in mind, Wu Haotian knew he couldn’t hesitate any longer. He leaped up, sprang forward, and quickly blocked Hui Ling’s path, then lunged at her like a hunter capturing its prey.
